ROME (ITALPRESS) – Only a few more weeks to register for the 16th edition of “Obiettivo Terra” 2025, the geographic-environmental photography competition promoted by Fondazione UniVerde and Società Geografica Italiana, dedicated to the defense, enhancement and promotion of Italy’s environmental heritage and, with it, the landscapes, ecosystems, villages, peculiarities and traditions of food and wine, agriculture, crafts, historical-cultural and social heritage guarded by national, regional, interregional parks, Marine Protected Areas, state and regional reserves.”Obiettivo Terra” 2025 is promoted with the main partnership of Haiki+, a company listed on Euronext Growth Milan among the leaders in the circular economy sector in Italy, event partner Comset, of Sphere S.p.A. Group, for 40 years one of the major players in the food wrapping and household products market, and with the digital partnership of Bluarancio.Amateur photographers can still participate by March 16 (the closing date of the contest), by sending an image taken in a National, Regional, Interregional Park, Marine Protected Area or Reserve, state or regional.Participation is open to all citizens, Italian and foreign, resident or domiciled in Italy who are 18 years of age or older by March 16 and is totally free. It will be enough to register on the portal www.obiettivoterra.eu and upload a color photograph, according to the technical characteristics provided in the Contest Rules. Only one photo per participant is allowed to be submitted.The award ceremony of the 16th edition of the contest will be held in Rome, April 22, 2025, on the occasion of the 56th International Mother Earth Day.First Prize “Mother Earth Day”: the winner of “Objective Earth” 2025 will be awarded the first prize of 1,000 (one thousand euros), the honor of being exposed to the public in a blow-up in one of the squares of Rome, the cover of the volume “Objective Earth 2025: Italy loved by Italians” and a souvenir plaque.In addition to the First Prize, the winners of the Mentions will be selected from the admitted photos, the decree of which is entrusted directly to the partners of each category: Trees and Forests (in collaboration with the Carabinieri’s Forestry, Environmental and Agri-food Units Command); Animals (in collaboration with Federparchi); Coastal Area (in collaboration with the Port Authority Corps – Coast Guard); Rivers and Lakes (in collaboration with the Italian Canoe and Kayak Federation); Agricultural Landscape (in collaboration with the Campagna Amica Foundation); Geological Heritage and Geodiversity (in collaboration with the Italian Society of Environmental Geology- SIGEA); Sustainable Tourism (in collaboration with the Italian Touring Club).The following Special Mentions are established for the 2025 edition: Borghi (Prize to the most beautiful photo of a village located within an Italian Protected Area, in collaboration with “I Borghi più belli d’Italia”); Obiettivo mare (Prize to the best underwater photo taken in an Italian Marine Protected Area, in collaboration with Marevivo); Parks from Above (Prize to the most beautiful photo of an Italian Protected Area taken from a vantage point, from the sky or even with authorized drones, in collaboration with Haiki+); Stories (Prize to the most beautiful vertical photo of an Italian Protected Area, in collaboration with InflueXpert).There is also the “Inclusive Park” 2025 Award, in collaboration with Fiaba and Federparchi, to the Italian Protected Area that has most distinguished itself through concrete initiatives in favor of accessibility and usability for people with disabilities and reduced mobility.The objective of the “Obiettivo Terra” photography contest is to promote the spread of a model of conscious and eco-sustainable tourism and the transmission of the principles of the circular economy. It is a tribute to Italy, a leading country in Europe for the biodiversity of flora and fauna, and to Mother Earth, increasingly battered by pollution and overbuilding.
