BRUGES (BELGIUM) (ITALPRESS) – A draw and no goals for Thiago Motta’s Juventus, who came out with a point from the away match in Bruges and did not move their standings much, although it did guarantee them arithmetic access to the playoffs with only one game left in the first phase of the Champions League. A balanced match between the Bianconeri and Hayen’s team, with no chances in the first half, while something more was seen in the second half. First phase of the match with several initiatives from Bruges and a Juventus that always defends with many men, struggling to build dangerous chances from Mignolet’s sides. However, the Belgian team also did not appear particularly effective in the offensive zone, with a wraparound maneuver that was devoid of decisive developments to involve its attackers. Only one on each side, in fact, the scoring conclusions on the score sheet in the entire first half, for Bruges with Jutgla, while for Juventus with Douglas Luiz, both wide and not very dangerous. On the return to the field after halftime, however, came the first real chance of the match, on Di Gregorio’s mistake in disengagement that gave the ball away to Vanaken and passing first to Tzolis, then to Jutgla, it was the latter who kicked first addressing it just wide. Chance that thus stirs the match and also Juventus, which responds a little later with Mbangula’s sprint and service inside the box for Nico Gonzalez, who however does not arrive with the right pace to push the ball into the net. The match thus picks up pace, also because of the changes, which in Bruges will be dangerous thanks to the entry of Nilsson, who in the turn sends high the ball crossed by Talbi that escaped behind Cambiaso. Motta also opted for offensive entries, such as those of Conceiçào, Yildiz and Vlahovic, which increased density and initiatives for the Bianconeri in the final. In the 85th minute it was Juventus again, with Locatelli letting off a powerful right-footer from the distance on which Mignolet had to intervene in the dive, thus putting his hands on the last chance of the match.
