MARANELLO (MODENA) (ITALPRESS) – “Abu Dhabi marks the end of a long and challenging season, for drivers as well as for the whole team. In Yas Marina we will give everything to the last and, as a team, we will try to close the Championship in a positive way”. So Ferrari’s main team, Fred Vasseur, ahead of the last stage of the Formula 1 World Championship 2025. “For Scuderia Ferrari HP the one that is about to end was a complex season, but the whole team remained focused and is determined to close the championship with a positive note,” says Maranello’s team who then adds: “The spotlight will be on Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. The latter, however, will rest in the first session because it will leave the cockpit to Arthur Leclerc – who for the second time will participate in an official Formula 1 weekend flanking his brother just like a year ago, when he took the place of Carlos Sainz – for the rule that sees each holder yield for two times his car for a free session to a young driver with no more than two races to the active”.
The weekend of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will follow the traditional program: it will start on Friday with the first two free practice sessions at 13.30 local (the 10.30 CET) and at 17 (14 CET). Saturday, the drivers will return on track at 14.30 local (11.30 CET) for the third free session, useful for the last refinements before qualifying, which will start at 18 locals (15 CET). The Formula 1 season will close on Sunday with the 58 laps of the Grand Prix (306.183 km), which will leave at the 17 locals (14 CET), when the sun will begin to disassemble on Yas Marina. To officially drop the curtain on the 2025 season it will be necessary to wait Tuesday. As usual, in fact, after the GP is expected the post-season test: the teams will be on track with both machines, one of which will be equipped to be able to turn with the tires 2026. On that they will alternate with Leclerc and Hamilton, while on the SF-25 that will be in the same configuration with which the Sunday Grand Prix will be closed, Dino Beganovic, engaged in the Young Driver Test. Beganovic in 2025 accumulated experience with two holdings in FP1 – Bahrain and Austria instead of Charles – and with several tests with cars from previous years.
