ROME (ITALPRESS) – Salvatore Latino is the new Pro-Rector Vicar of Graben Catholic University. The appointment was decided by the university’s Grand Chancellor the Bishop of the Diocese of Butembo-Beni Monsignor Melchisedec Sikuli Paluku, who chose to entrust the delicate task to the university’s only Italian professor, who since 2017 has also been the permanent representative of the Catholic University of Graben in Italy and has promoted several cooperation agreements with Italian and European universities.Latino has a multidisciplinary background that includes a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Technology, a Master’s degree in Safety Engineering and Civil Protection, and a Doctorate in Agribusiness Economics. Since his undergraduate studies, he has been dedicated to economic development in Africa, actively collaborating with the twin dioceses of Noto (Syracuse) and Butembo-Beni (Democratic Republic of Congo) to implement local projects in agriculture, infrastructure, education and health.In his new position, Latino will be responsible for assisting the chancellor in the strategic leadership of the university, promoting innovative projects and strengthening academic and research collaborations globally.”I accept this appointment with a deep sense of responsibility and a desire to contribute further to the prestige and development of the Catholic University of Graben, a young academic institution that can be a bridge between Italy, the Democratic Republic of Congo and the entire African continent,” said Professor Latino.
