PARIGI (FRANCIA) (ITALPRESS) – According to the French Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, American Secretary of State Marco Rubio “excluded” a military intervention in Greenland. In an intervention for Radio France Inter, relaunched by Le Figaro, Barrot explained that “it is necessary to be careful” on the question of Greenland “not to give too much importance to certain voices that express themselves” from the United States, while “taking them seriously”.
According to Barrot, military intervention is not “the approach favoured by the United States”. “ Yesterday I was on the phone with the Secretary of State, with the head of the diplomacy of the United States of America (Marco Rubio). He confirmed that this is not the approach favored by the United States. He excluded the possibility that what has just happened in Venezuela happens in Greenland,” he said.
