ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Discussions about the future of the Gaza Strip must begin with the total cessation of Israeli aggression. Just before yesterday’s event, the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (Ncag) – in charge of replacing Hamas in the Government of the Strip – issued an announcement to recruit Palestinians interested in serving in the police forces of Gaza. Ncag Chief Commissioner Ali Shaath said in his comments at the event in Washington that the goal is to deploy 5,000 police officers within 60 days. The members of the future Gaza police will be trained in Egypt and Jordan after being controlled by Israel, and the force will eventually grow to 12,000.
