ROMA (ITALPRESS) – From the snows of Sestriere, the highest municipality in Italy, the new Suzuki eVitara 100% electric 4-wheel drive takes us to Val di Susa. The model represents an ecological evolution, introduces the native HEARTECT-e platform and the Allgrip electric traction system, marking a turning point in the overall strategy of the Japanese house towards carbon neutrality. Developed on the basis of the concept “Emotional Versatile Cruiser”, the eVitara presents a body shop from the net lines. The step of 2,700 mm defines the vehicle’s layout, characterized by reduced swings that optimize the angle of attack and internal habitability. The front panel integrates three-point Matrix LED optical groups. The external structure is complemented by 18′′ and 19′′′′ rims and underscow protection to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The aesthetic customization includes 11 color options, including 5 two-tone combinations with contrasting black roof. The interior of the eVitara is structured on a display area that shortens the 10.25 inch digital instrumentation, configurable in the layout, and a 10.1 inch central screen dedicated to the infotainment. The system supports wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as integrating navigation and 360° View Camera for maneuvers. The floating central console houses the “shift by wire” command for the selection of gears and the induction charging plate for smartphones. The materials chosen for two-tone seats, black and brown, vary from synthetic leather to technical fabric. The 160 mm sliding rear sofa allows to increase the volume of the trunk by more than 30%. The eVitara brings to its debut the Heartect-e platform, designed to integrate the battery pack into the structure of the platform. This solution increases torque rigidity and guarantees protection to high voltage components in case of impact. The 61 kWh battery pack uses lithium-ferro-phosphate technology, choice for thermal stability and extended life cycles. The range is divided into two configurations based on the eAxle system, which shortens motor and inverter. The front-wheel version (2WD) delivers 128 kW (174 CV) with a pair of 193 Nm. The ALLGRIP-e variant uses two independent axis engines, reaching a combined power of 135 kW (184 hp) and a maximum torque of 307 Nm. The declared autonomy in the combined WLTP cycle is 426 km for the 2WD and 395 km for the 4WD. The continuous charging times allow you to recover 80% of the energy in 45 minutes. The road test highlighted a steering range of 5.2 meters, value contained for the category, which facilitates urban use. The ALLGRIP-e integral traction management is electronic and allows an immediate response to loss of adherence. The mode “Trail”, which we have inserted driving in the Gran Bosco di Salbertrand, a few kilometers from Sauze d’Oulx, acts as a limited slip differential, braking the wheels that slip and transferring the pair to those with traction. Between ice and mud the answer of e Vitara was fun and safe. For high slopes we used the Hill Descent Control system that automatically maintains the speed at 7 km/h. The second level ADAS package includes, among other things, the Active Cruise Control with function of speed reduction in curves and driver monitoring through internal camera. The eVitara enters the market with a list that starts from 36,900 euros for the 2WD version and for the 4WD in the preparation Cool, reaching 38,900 euros for the Top 4WD Allgrip-e. Suzuki applies to the model the guarantee “10&Lode”, which covers the main components up to 10 years or 250,000 km in the face of regular maintenance at the official network. In dealership from next month of May.
