Huetter wins the descent of Cdm of Val d’Isere, Pirovano fifth

VAL D’ISÈRE (FRANCIA) (ITALPRESS) – Cornelia Huetter wins the descent of Val d’Isère, in France, valid for the World Cup 2025/2026 of female alpine skiing. The Austrian skier imposes with the time of 1’41′′54 and marks the tenth career victory in the World Cup, the fifth in this specialty. To complete the podium are the German Kiri Weidle-Winkelmann, detached from 0′′26, and the American Lindsey Vonn, at 0′′35. Good Italians, with three blues among the top ten: Laura Pirovano is fifth to 0′′′41, while Sofia Goggia, who risked finishing off track in the fourth sector, is eighth to 0′′′62, followed by Nicol Delago, ninth to 1′′′01.
