MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The debut of Hyundai IONIQ 3, the first electric compact of the IONIQ range, will be unveiled to the world public in the coming months. Expected on the Italian market by the end of the year, the model actually translates the anticipated vision from Concept THREE – presented world premiere at AIA Mobility 2025 – confirming its central role in the brand’s electrification strategy in Europe thanks to localized production. Concept THREE was the first compact concept car to cut the IONIQ badge and, since its debut, clarified Hyundai’s intention to expand its electric family in a strategic segment for the European market. Compact in size but determined in proportions, the concept introduced the stylistic language Art of Steel, a new design grammar that celebrates steel as a living material, moldable, capable of generating emotion through tensions, surfaces and sculpted volumes.
With IONIQ 3, these principles take shape in a series model that brings the core values of the IONIQ range – futuristic and distinctive design, advanced technologies, an advanced vision of sustainable mobility and a superior quality experience – in a compact two-volume sedan format.
IONIQ 3 will inherit from the THREE Concept the Aero Hatch silhouette, low front, roof that accelerates towards the back and a characteristic ducktail, designed to combine aerodynamic efficiency and strong visual personality. The interior, comfortable and ergonomic, combine innovative materials such as expanded aluminium and recycled fabrics, combining lightness, sustainability and perceived quality.
