Hyundai presents IA-based robotics strategy at CES and focuses on man

MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Hyundai Motor Group presented its AI-based robotics strategy at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 (CES) in Las Vegas and a daring roadmap to promote man-robot collaboration, under the theme “Partnering Human Progress”.

The Group intends to ensure optimal skills in all areas, from its wide value chain to product portfolio, with the aim to guide the physical artificial intelligence sector. The Group will create a network of global industries of physical artificial intelligence, including Korean and US, to build a solid foundation of diversified skills.

The vision presented at the CES this year – “Partnering Human Progress” – represents the bold roadmap of Hyundai Motor Group to promote collaboration between man and robots, supported by three forms of fundamental partnerships: Collaboration between human beings and robots to start the AI-based robotics era, starting from production environments. Boston Dynamics presents the commercial version of its new Atlas robot that will be implemented at Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America by 2028 for sequencing activities, promoting the development of intelligent man-centered factories.

Atlas reduces human physical load by carrying out higher risk activities, creating the premises for the marketing of robots and a collaborative environment between humans and robots themselves. The collaboration with Boston Dynamics promotes the formation, marketing and expansion of AI-based robotics.
The Group’s affiliates, including Hyundai, Kia, Hyundai Mobis and Hyundai Glovis, will collaborate to build an End-to-End (E2E) value chain of AI robotics. The goal is to improve robotic capabilities through data-based production and validation systems, such as Robot Metaplant Application Center (RMAC) and Software-Defined Factory (SDF).

Promote the development of global AI robotics through strategic partnerships with NVIDIA and other initiatives. Take advantage of the Group’s global experience in manufacturing to accelerate mass production of AI robotics and expand the offer of Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS).

To implement collaborations with world leaders in the field of artificial intelligence to start joint innovations in favor of human progress. Accelerate the technological development of next-generation humanoids through collaboration between Boston Dynamics and Google DeepMind. Promote the safe and efficient use of humanoids by integrating state-of-the-art robotic and artificial intelligence technologies.

The Group will present Atlas, Spot and MobED with the integration of AI robotics at its stand at CES 2026, with interactive experiences and live demonstrations.
