IMAX movies visible in Mercedes-Benz cars with MBUX

LAS VEGAS (USA) (ITALPRESS) – It will be possible to watch a movie, perhaps Spider-Man even if you are in a car, in this case a Mercedes-Benz equipped with the latest MBUX. This is the result of an agreement between Sony Pictures Entertainment, IMAX Corporation, Mercedes-Benz and DTS Inc. a subsidiary of Xperi Inc, which have announced that RIDEVU, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s In-Car Entertainment service, will make IMAX Enhanced content from Sony Pictures’ library immediately available from next summer in the cars of the three-pointed star.This service introduces an immersive entertainment experience, bringing the largest catalog of IMAX Enhanced films in Sony Pictures’ library from home to car, including “Venom: The Last Dance,” “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “Uncharted.” IMAX Enhanced is the only way to experience the distinctive image and sound of IMAX outside of a theater. RIDEVU offers selected IMAX Enhanced films with expanded aspect ratio (EAR), IMAX’s proprietary DMR process, and DTS:X sound, available in multiple dubbed languages. Sony Pictures Entertainment’s RIDEVU service is available in the United States, Canada, Japan, the United Kingdom, Ireland and Germany. It is fully integrated with some OEMs, including Mercedes-Benz as the first global automotive OEM. It offers access to thousands of movies to buy, rent or stream. Designed for the car, RIDEVU connects Sony Pictures movies with its advanced streaming technology to create a one-of-a-kind in-car entertainment experience. With RIDEVU, customers can enjoy hours of entertainment on built-in screens or on iOS and Android devices, use Screen Manager to easily control playback on all screens from the center screen, and entertain passengers with individual or shared experiences on up to six screens.
