ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has announced that the leader of the British Green Party, Zack Polanski, is forbidden to enter Israel, after the political group has approved a motion that equates Zionism to racism. The motion calls for “treat Zionism like any other form of racism” and to support “a single Palestinian democratic state throughout historical Palestine, with equal rights for all”.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has defined the motion adopted “that legitimizes the armed struggle, calls for a Palestinian state ‘from the river to the sea’ – meaning the destruction of the State of Israel – and qualifies as ‘racist’ the aspiration of the Jewish people to self-determination”.
“This goes far beyond the boundaries of legitimate political debate. As long as this resolution remains in force, it will be a stain in the history of the United Kingdom. Every political party in Britain, first of all the Labour Party to the government, must reject this distorted resolution unequivocally,” the Foreign Ministry concludes.
