MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Milan – from Oct. 7 to 11, 2025 – will become the world center of Olympic culture, sports, cinema, television, communication, and e-sports with “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025,” the most important international festival of the sector included in the framework of the Milan Cortina 2026 Cultural Olympiad, a multidisciplinary, plural and widespread program to promote Olympic and Paralympic values.
At different venues in Lombardy, 100 Screenings of documentaries, dramas, cartoons will be prepared, telling the emotions, the stories of the protagonists of Olympism: a real Festival of Olympic images inspired by the theme “Sport | Peace | Olympic Truce”. The event will welcome filmmakers, producers, Olympic champions, broadcasters, industry professionals, communication experts, representatives of sports institutions and media in a schedule – in addition to screenings – full of 8 Exhibitions, 2 Ceremonies, 6 Meetings, 2 Press Conferences, 4 Related Events, the Paralympic International Movies & Tv Fest.
“SPORT MOVIES & TV 2025” will be an opportunity to explore the future of sports storytelling through new technologies, virtual reality, e-sports and artificial intelligence applied to communication and cinema. The Festival is organized by the FICTS – Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs (chaired by Professor Franco Ascani – www.sportmoviestv.com) recognized by the IOC – International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through images in the 130 affiliated nations in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth, the Lombardy Region and the Milan Cortina 2026 Foundation.
