ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A musical evening, “under the sky of the Mediterranean”, for the Hellenic National Festival, took place at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome: protagonist the tenor Stavros Salabasopoulos, with an orchestra of 15 musicians, under the direction of the master Georgios Papachristoudis. “A musical bridge”, dedicated precisely to the Hellenic National Festival, but also to the bonds of friendship and gratitude for the historical and cultural constraints that unite Italy and Greece, born 28 centuries ago, when the first Greeks founded the first colonies of Magna Grecia.
“Legami who have resisted all adversities and who are still alive in the cities of Puglia and Calabria – reads in a statement of the Greek Embassy -. Legami of solidarity, which manifested themselves with the participation of the Italian Phillyns in the fight for our independence, from which they drew inspiration for the freedom of Italy”. The event, which took place in the presence of a thousand guests including representatives of Italian political and military leadership, entrepreneurs and members of the Greek community and the academic world, was conducted by journalist Teodoro Andreadis. In addition, the Greek painter Kostas Spiropoulos Painter colored the evening, presenting his works in a special exhibition, in the peristyle of the Auditorium.
