ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Also this year, close to the Christmas holidays, OPES gave life to the Gala of Sport. The appointment, now customary and highly attended, has come to the seventh edition. In Palazzo Brancaccio, an evening was staged with the aim of bringing together representatives of numerous realities, enhancing the initiatives that generate social and sporting impact in the territories. With this spirit, following the work of the COP4 of the Sports Community project, during the gala dinner four realities selected by OPES par excellence and innovative impact, according to the sustainable development objectives indicated by the agenda 2030. Specifically, it is the technical health care unit Trentino Odv, L’Orma Ssd, Mediterraneo Sport Ssd and E.S.S.E. Sport.
“OPES means resources – the words of President Juri Morico – and a resource is such only if you relate to each other. The hope is to enrich the realities with which we meet. We bring home new promises and among them is to engage in environmental protection. We have received recognition as an environmental protection body: a commitment that must be seen on the territory”.
The evening took place in the presence of numerous representatives of the highest institutions, from vice-minister Bellucci to the president of Sport and Health, Marco Mezzaroma, passing through the number one of the Coni, Luciano Buonfiglio, who spoke of “an event that becomes increasingly important, for the activity that in the year OPES does with competence, passion and involvement of many forces. Like Coni, we prepare medals but also social activities and promotion on the territory”. From the stage, he added: “We started a challenge for a few months that we are sure to win. I believe that the first goal of this challenge has been achieved, to be in harmony with the institutions of the government and the state.” As for the upcoming appointment of Milan Cortina 2026, Buonfiglio concluded: “We are facing a challenge as a nation: the upcoming Winter Games. I think you will be proud and proud of the organization and performance of athletes.”
