ROMA (ITALPRESS) – The total of pensions with residence in 2024 was 901.152 for an average monthly amount of 1,218 euros. Pensions in 2025 were 831.285, an average amount of 1,229 euros. These values refer to old age pensions, early retirement pensions, invalidity pensions and survivors of the deeds. Social allowances are also included. This is what emerges from the data provided by Inps in monitoring pension flows. In this survey, updated on 2 January 2026, pensions with residence in 2024 also include those settled after 2024 but with previous residence. Pensions in 2025, on the other hand, include only those settled until 2 January 2026. Therefore, in the comparison between the number of pensions decorated in 2024 and that of pensions decorated in 2025, it is necessary to take account of this difference of information perimeter.
In particular, with regard to individual categories, pensions with 2024 residences were 276.603 old-age pensions, 225,046 early pensions, 62,400 invalidity pensions and 238,832 survivors’ pensions. In 2025 there were 267,332 old age, 202,708 early, 53.601 invalidity and 210,863 survivors. Analyzing individual management, the FPLD has totaled 361,364 pensions in 2024 and 328,441 in 2025; they follow public employee management with 128.907 and 114.181 respectively, artisans (88.319 and 83.098), traders (77,161 and 73.703), parasubordinates (48.841 and 48.019) and direct growers, settlers and mezzadri (34.34. Social allowances were 98,271 in 2024 and 96,781 in 2025.
