Inter takes a hat trick against Parma and resumes its run-up

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – It was all easy for Inter, which opened the 15th day of Serie A at San Siro by knocking out Parma 3-1: Dimarco opened the scoring, then came goals from Barella and Thuram. In the final, the guests shorten the distance with Darmian’s own goal.
Inzaghi chooses the eleven that had started last Sunday’s match at the Franchi against Fiorentina: 3-5-2 with Dumfries and Dimarco on the outside, in front Lautaro Martinez and Thuram. After the heavy home success over Lazio, Pecchia aims to hurt on the counterattack and chooses Man, Cancellieri and Mihaila to play in support of forward Bonny. Nerazzurri masters the field from the opening stages. A nice outside neck by Calhanoglu counts as the first conclusion of the match that goes wide of the goal defended by Suzuki. Again the Turk is dangerous on a dead ball after the Var turns a penalty kick initially awarded by referee Abisso for a contact between Keita and Lautaro almost on the line of the area into a free kick from the limit. In Parma, Balogh is injured (inside Leoni) and Inter pushes again with Thuram, wasteful from a few steps, and Dumfries, who kicks from a defiladed position and hits the post. For offside, Lautaro’s 1-0 goal was disallowed while Mkhitaryan slalomed and sowed panic but then failed to frame the goal mirror. On Dimarco’s cross, an indecision by Suzuki gives another great chance to Lautaro, but the Argentine under goal sends high. So far, very little of the guest offensive production has been seen: only an exchange between Bonny and Sohm, with the latter going for a shot without frightening Sommer. Two minutes from the half-hour mark the Inter goalkeeper took refuge in the corner on a shot by Cancellieri, and Parma seemed to take courage, but before halftime the Italian champions broke through: Dimarco dialogued in the box with Mkhitaryan, came up with a marvelous follow-up control with his heel that sent Man out of time, and slotted Suzuki with a surgical right-footed shot at the far post. At the start of the second half, Inzaghi’s team filed the file. On a wonderful half-volley from Mkhitaryan, Barella sprints on the offside line and then is glacial under goal for 2-0. A long Var check is needed to verify the midfielder’s starting position, but after a few minutes of waiting comes the verdict that makes San Siro rejoice: the goal is good. On the wings of enthusiasm Inter came close to making it 3-0 in a couple of circumstances, while Parma tried to sting on the counter-attack but had wet dust. In minute 67 came the Nerazzurri’s trio: Calhanoglu’s corner, Bisseck’s splash and all alone Thuram scored at the second post. The credits thus effectively flowed on the match even if in the final Parma was able to shorten thanks to Darmian’s unfortunate own goal and the Var cancelled out the second penalty of the evening that Lautaro had procured for himself (Hainaut touched the ball and not the player). In the San Siro celebration, Inter returns to -1 from the top.
