ROME (ITALPRESS) – The collaboration between F.lli Di Martino and SICOM is strengthening, focusing on innovation and sustainability in the intermodal transport sector. The Di Martino Group’s fleet of intermodal units is further expanded with the introduction of 160 new loading units, bringing the total number of active crates on the main national and international rail links to more than 2,500.Specifically, the new investment includes: 150 45-foot crates with C45 profile (highcube), ideal for standard loads; and 10 special 45-foot crates with C64 profile, designed for the transport of bulky goods, with a load capacity of 100 cubic meters.These intermodal crates, 100% made in Italy, are produced in SICOM’s Cherasco plants using Italian green steel and renewable energy, in line with an increasingly ecological and sustainable approach. “The exclusive design, specially developed by SICOM for F.lli Di Martino, guarantees strength, load capacity and durability, offering optimal performance for rail transport,” reads a note from Di Martino Group. “Special thanks go to the professionals at SICOM, whose manual skills and experience have made it possible to create a fully customized product, a symbol of Italian quality.With this operation, Di Martino Group confirms its commitment to more sustainable and efficient transport, consolidating its position as a leader in the intermodal sector.
