NAPLES (ITALPRESS) – Intesa Sanpaolo has contributed to the establishment of the educational ecosystem in Casoria (Naples) for young people in the North Naples area, created by the Mater Dei Institute of the Order of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of Naples with the Campania Region. The bank, reads a note, supported the infrastructural renovations and extraordinary maintenance of the building that houses the new classrooms, laboratories, work orientation centers and help desks to ensure that young people have a pleasant place to stay. The initiative, the note points out, is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s commitment to social welfare, which allocates 1.5 billion euros to social welfare by 2027 and is part of the 2021-2025 Business Plan.A team of professionals (educators, psychologists, guidance counselors, administrative staff) develops an educational community that promotes life projects away from crime aimed at young people, with education and vocational training paths, out-of-school activities, parenting support through family involvement, and job orientation. With the 2024-25 school year, three-year paths for the acquisition of vocational qualifications and diplomas, work placements, and employment are launched.The Pole, which is based at the Madrinato di San Placido in Casoria and was inaugurated in September 2024, is the result of a co-design with the territory, the Campania Region, the Mater Dei Institute of the Order of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul of Naples, and Intesa Sanpaolo. The aim, the note highlights, is to combat school dropout and crime, offering hope for change and confidence in the future to many young people in one of the most disadvantaged areas in Italy.With the 2022-2025 Business Plan, the note also states, Intesa Sanpaolo has consolidated the program to combat poverty desired by Carlo Messina since 2018, setting up a dedicated Governance Area, under the responsibility of Paolo Bonassi and included in the Sustainability Area led by Paola Angeletti.
