Intesa Sanpaolo focuses on youth, Vassena “Sustainability and inclusiveness”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Young people have always been one of Intesa Sanpaolo’s focuses. They are definitely the most inclined to digital, to test new solutions, but always with the accompaniment and the need for comparison with our network.” Claudia Vassena, Executive Director sales & Marketing digital retail Intesa Sanpaolo said in an interview with Today.it. A central theme in recent years has been rising interest rates on mortgages. However, the new course of the markets has allowed the European Central Bank to ease rates, with a new cut of 0.25 percent. “In this wake, Intesa Sanpaolo is working to meet the needs of its customers in particular,” explains Claudia Vassena. Our impact credit, in addition to loans to the Third Sector, includes tools such as affordable mortgages for young people and families, loans to students without guarantees, and financing for businesses that demonstrate attention to social and environmental sustainability. We are also the only bank to offer young people maturities of up to 40 years for their first home mortgage, in some cases financing 100 percent of the value, even to precarious workers.” On the green “we discount once again to reduce the installment a little bit.” This provides “a discount on the rate” so a lower installment “in order to have a sustainable financing over time.” For young students, in addition to the IsyPrime Under35 promotion, which has been extended until April 2026, Intesa Sanpaolo is fielding PerMerito, the guarantee-free honor loan that allows for university expenses-including those of educational materials-and that provides for repayment after a “bridge period” of 2 years. Special attention is also given to those who invest in energy efficiency with the Mutuo Green formula, designed for young couples who choose to buy a property to renovate or who want to improve the energy class of a home they have already purchased. The year 2024, Vassena explains, “is a historic year for digital payments. In the first half of the year, we saw rapid, double-digit growth (+58 percent) in wallet and wearable payments, confirming their daily use even for small expenses.” On this front, “Intesa Sanpaolo offers solutions marked by avant-garde and maximum security, such as the payment ring and the new “Taspster” bracelet: useful tools to simplify life, if we also consider the aspect of storing basic info by bringing a smartphone with NFC closer to the bracelet.” Synergy and sustainability are also reflected in the new headquarters of “Gioia 22,” which, in addition to the group’s offices, also houses Isybank, Intesa Sanpaolo’s digital bank. The building combines design and green approach and is the first skyscraper in Milan NZEB – Nearly Zero Energy Building – with Leed Platinum certification, the highest level for compliance with environmental parameters. “Gioia 22” has also obtained Well Gold Certification for design that pays attention to the well-being of the people who work there. -photo Intesa Sanpaolo press office.
