MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Intesa Sanpaolo is for the second time educational partner of Pact4Future, the international forum organized by Corriere della Sera and Bocconi University, dedicated to crucial societal issues and the future of the Planet.
As part of the forum, from March 24-27, the Group will initiate meetings and workshops involving primary, secondary and university students to promote conversations, meetings and reflections on some of the themes of Pact4Future.
On March 24, about 100 children in grades IV and V in elementary school will be involved in a workshop activity dedicated to the themes of the Blue Economy: they will witness the interpretation of some passages from Luis Sepúlveda’s The Story of a White Whale Told by Herself by a theater company and make collages inspired by the story, which will then be exhibited in the foyer of the Aula Magna of Bocconi University. About 100 secondary school second and third graders, on the other hand, will explore the principles of AI through a succession of highly interactive and engaging activities and learn firsthand about the experiences of some specialists in the field.
On the mornings of March 26 and 27, however, two meetings are scheduled for third, fourth and fifth graders and college students at Bocconi University in Milan, dedicated respectively to transformational trends and skills of the future, with the aim of supporting greater awareness on issues related to the new economies and transformations of the future. Through meeting and talking with prominent testimonials and speakers who are successfully interpreting the changes taking place, young people will be inspired by the challenges and changes ahead of them about the evolution of skills and transformational trends in society. In particular, one event will be dedicated to the Blue Economy also thanks to the observatory developed with Bocconi University and the collaboration with One Ocean Foundation.
Support for Pact4Future is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s broader commitment to young students, which has always collaborated at various levels with universities and schools, proposing initiatives for internationalization, integration with the industrial fabric, educational inclusion, and the enhancement of talent and merit, including through projects geared toward the development of transversal skills. As of 2022, the Bank led by CEO Carlo Messina has involved more than 3,400 schools and universities, more than 1,200 are planned for 2025, reaching the target of more than 4,000 schools and universities over the 2022-2025 Business Plan period.
In 2024 Intesa Sanpaolo met in presence with “Build Your Future” with more than 10,000 students across Italy to inspire and train them on major transformative processes in the economy and society such as digitization, accelerated by artificial intelligence, blue economy, space economy, life sciences and others.
The project stems from the research of the Look4ward Permanent Observatory on Tomorrow’s Work, promoted by the Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programs structure led by Elisa Zambito Marsala, which aims to identify the needs for new skills and from which it emerges that the professions of the future will be increasingly characterized by the fusion of vertical technical knowledge, soft skills and interpersonal skills.
“Intesa Sanpaolo renews its support for Pact4Future because it believes it is essential to involve the new generations in a broad reflection on the major transformations that are impacting the way we live and work,” says Elisa Zambito Marsala, Head of Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programs Intesa Sanpaolo. “The program is part of the Group’s Education strategic action plan that we carry out in collaboration with universities and schools throughout the country. Through these formats, our goal is to create an ecosystem that connects the academic world with the industrial, production and services fabric, involving universities, institutions and companies, to foster greater awareness of companies’ skills needs. Last year we created an inspirational format, Build Your Future, to engage students on the major transformational trends in the economy and society and the skills of the future. In just a few months we have met more than 10,000 of them in attendance throughout Italy; from April we will start again with the first stages in Milan, Rome and Bari.”
