PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – The judges of the Prosecutor of the Republic and the Mobile Team of Palermo have performed searches at domiciles, law firms and public offices in a investigation for corruption for the exercise of function and corruption by act contrary to the duties of office.
Among the nine persons reached by the measure is also the former Councillor and Vice-President of the Sicilian Region Gaetano Armao.
The investigations were arranged by the Prosecutor Maurizio de Lucia in order to avoid the dispersion of the evidence, following the notification of the invitation of the G.I.P. to make the preventive interrogation after the application of precautionary measures.
The other interested in the measure are the regional deputy Giuseppe Geremia Lombardo, Giuseppe Argirò, Benedetta Veruska, Pierpaola Costanzo, Mario Lupo, Marco Malacarne Gentile, Pietro Luigi Matta, Sergio Vella and Luigi Zancla.
