ROMA (ITALPRESS) – Several American military aircraft were damaged in Iranian attacks on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, against the Muwaffaq Airbase Salti in Jordan. The CBS News reports that about eight F-15s reported minor damage and would be remitted in service. According to sources, an A-10 Thunderbolt, known as Warthog, was hit and lost a wing. US casualties were not reported in the attacks on Jordan.
Nocturnal damage occurred after the United States declared on Tuesday that it attacked five Iranian tankers in retaliation for the Iranian attack on a US Navy warship.
In response, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have launched attacks against eight oil tankers and two warships, including a base in Jordan.
