TEHERAN (IRAN) (ITALPRESS) – Iran denounces Trump’s extension of the truce as a tactical manoeuvre to prepare a surprise attack, confirming the maintenance of the American naval block on Iranian ports that Tehran equips with an act of military war.
According to an advisor to Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, president of the Iranian Parliament and chief negotiator of Tehran, the decision of the American president to prolong the cease-fire represents “just a maneuver to gain time” in view of a sudden offensive.
The same adviser, in a statement on the X platform resumed by the TV at Arabiya, added that the continuation of the American block on the Iranian ports “is not distinguished from the bombing and requires an adequate military response”. The supreme joint military leadership of Iran has warned of a possible “significant attack” against targets already identified, while General Majid Mousavi, commander of the aerospace forces of the Guard Corps of the Islamic Revolution, told Iranian media that any hostile initiative against Iran would be a serious error of calculation.
Trump announced the extension of the truce on Tuesday on his Truth Social platform, specifying that this measure will remain in force until Tehran submits a concrete proposal to resolve the conflict, but he simultaneously ordered the U.S. forces to maintain the naval blockade on Iranian ports. The announcement came a few hours before the original expiry of the agreement. The White House justified the annulment of the second stage of the peace mission in Pakistan planned for Vice-President JD Vance citing alleged internal conflicts in Iran and an explicit request from the Pakistani authorities to extend the duration of the truce.

The British agency Ukmto reports that it has received the signal of an Iranian attack at 15 nautical miles northeast of Oman. In a note, Ukmto writes that “the commander of a ship portacontainer reported that the ship was approached by a bark of the Iranian revolutionary Guards – the Pasdaran –, without any communication via VHF, which then opened fire against the ship, causing serious damage to the bridge of command”. The attack “has not caused fires or environmental damage and the entire crew is unharmed”, Ukmto concludes.

The Corps of the Guards of the Iranian Islamic Revolution (Pasdaran) announced that it will launch “devading stones” against what remains of enemy resources in the region in any possible new round of combat.
