TEL AVIV (ISRAEL) (ITALPRESS) – Members of the October Council, which represents survivors of the Oct. 7, former hostages and families of victims in Israel, were blocked by Knesset guards as they attempted to enter the plenum’s guest gallery. The incident escalated into a brawl, with the guards pushing and grabbing the protesters at the base of the stairs leading to the observers’ gallery. The father of Yarden Buskilla, who was murdered Oct. 7 at the Nova festival, fainted during the confrontation and required medical attention, Channel 12 reports. In a statement, the group, which represents 1,500 grieving families and hostage families, called on Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to intervene “immediately.”
The Knesset convened an extraordinary plenary session in the presence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who was called to respond to lawmakers’ calls for the establishment of a state commission of inquiry into the Oct. 7 attack.
