ROME (ITALPRESS) – The European Commission’s green light for the Ita-Lufthansa merger. The official announcement came in the evening with a note specifying how the Commission “approved easyJet, Iag, Air France-Klm as suitable entities to remedy the commitments made by Lufthansa and the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance in order to acquire joint control of Ita Airways. Approval is a condition for Lufthansa to implement the transaction.”
“After MPS also for Ita we see the finish line. We are satisfied with this new stage, now we have to make the last mile,” said Economy and Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti on the DGcomp commission’s pronouncement on the Ita-Lufthansa dossier.
