Italy-Israel, progressive resumption of air link network

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The resumption of direct air connections between Italy and Israel is proceeding in a gradual and structured manner, with a flight plan ensuring increasing connectivity between the two countries. Several airlines have already announced the resumption of their flights, with a significant increase in frequencies in the coming months, and it is worth observing the schedule in detail. This was announced by the Israeli National Tourist Office in Italy.As of January 16, 2025, WizzAir has resumed direct flights from Rome-Fiumicino and Milan-Malpensa to Tel Aviv. As early as February, four weekly frequencies are scheduled from Milan, rising to six in March, while four weekly flights will be guaranteed from Rome.In addition to these are the regular frequencies operated by EL AL Israel Airlines, which for the entire winter season (November 2024 to March 2025) provides 24 weekly flights from Milan-Malpensa, Rome-Fiumicino and Venice-Marco Polo airports. In addition to the national airline, Arkia and Israir, two other Israeli airlines, will also continue to operate their direct flights from Milan-Malpensa and Rome-Fiumicino.Starting January 22, 2025, BlueBird Airways will operate 5 to 7 weekly flights between Rome-Fiumicino and Tel Aviv until April 21, 2025. In addition, the airline has scheduled 3 weekly direct flights from Naples-Capodichino to Tel Aviv during April-October 2025 and 2 weekly flights from Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio from June 24 to October 18, 2025.ITA Airways will also offer a busy schedule of direct flights between Rome-Fiumicino and Tel Aviv-Ben Gurion, further strengthening air traffic between the two countries. The daily flight operating from Feb. 1, 2025, will be joined by a second daily flight from Feb. 16 and a third daily flight from April to October 2025.From the end of March 2025, Ryanair will resume direct flights to Tel Aviv from several Italian airports, including Milan-Bergamo Orio al Serio, Rome-Fiumicino, Bari, Bologna, Naples, Turin, and Treviso.EasyJet will reactivate direct connections between Milan-Malpensa and Tel Aviv from June 2025, with flights on June 5, June 12, and June 19, followed by a frequency of three flights per week from June 24 to October 25, 2025.As for stopover connections, the Lufthansa Group (comprising Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, and Swiss) will resume operations to Tel Aviv and from Italy.
