Juric “No step back, I have a clear conscience”

ROME (ITALPRESS) – “Dybala will not be there, he had a discomfort. Not really an injury, a discomfort. He felt it a little in Belgium, he trained yesterday but he felt this discomfort. On Pellegrini I still have to think about whether he will play or not.” These are the words of Roma coach Ivan Juric, on the eve of the match against Bologna, regarding Paulo Dybala’s condition. Then on Hummels: “There has never been an argument: he is a great professional. I had to choose players who could do certain things, like Cristante. For the same reason I played Pisilli instead of Pellegrini. I know it is heavy, even I expected more, but until now I have to be honest about my job: to choose what I think is right. There have never been any problems. Pisilli at the moment gives me more guarantees than Pellegrini,” explains Juric, who then also makes a point about the team’s momentum. “In my opinion we cleared the air after Florence. We got everything out, I never thought about a step back, maybe others. I have a clear conscience because there is so much work. There are times when I feel that the team is mine even after defeats. When I said I was satisfied after Verona, I was not pretending. Against Union I saw a team that was unfocused, distracted, not on the ball on the restarts, and that got into trouble on its own. These were not characteristics of my team. I want to be honest. The match in Belgium was disconcerting,” added the Croatian coach.- Photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
