ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The implementation of the Pnrr has represented the main engine of reforms and investments, marking an epochal breakthrough in the modernization of the Italian judicial system: at the end of 2025, faced with 2.7 billion euros of Pnrr resources assigned to the Ministry of Justice, payments were made for a total of 1,98 billion”. To say this is the Minister of Justice Carlo Nordio in his relation to the House. “We are first in Europe for funding received under the Pnrr, witnessing the effectiveness and credibility of the policies adopted – continues Nordio, – the European Commission itself underlined the punctuality and quality of the actions implemented: the effort made by the Ministry for the implementation of investments and reforms will go beyond the time horizon of 2026. The government has identified further objectives to be achieved by 2029: they include in particular the simplification of procedures within the civil process, the encouragement of alternative forms of dispute resolution, the reduction of the duration of bankruptcy procedures, the promotion of the use of extrajudicial tools and the further reduction of civil arbitration and the duration of processes; the slowness of civil justice cost us over 2% of GDP. On digitization the criticalities of the first moments have been overcome: artificial intelligence we use it within the limits governed by law, common sense and logic.”.
“The 2025 represented a turning year also on the front of the staff, marking an unprecedented strengthening, an valorisation of skills and a renewed attention to organizational well-being: from October 2022 to today 3.586 units were assumed indefinitely, for a total of approximately 120 million euros; for 2026 a series of assumptions are already planned,” he added. “With the budgetary law we have foreseen the possibility of flowing the ranking of stabilisation for another three years, allowing further assumptions – adds Nordio, – by this year we will fill the organic magistrates for the first time from the constitution of the Republic: two years ago it was under 15 percentage points, the lack of 1,600-1,700 magistrates is one of the fundamental causes of the slowness of our justice. Until yesterday, honorary magistrates were children of a minor god, both in criminal and civil matters, and had no financial or social security guarantees: through an appropriate law we managed to make their treatment dignified, their function is comparable to that of career magistrates.”.
