ROME (ITALPRESS) – “The reform presents itself, as far as the independence and autonomy of the judiciary are concerned, with Cartesian clarity of rock solidity. Any speculative fantasy about futuristic variations is an arbitrary divinatory interpretation.” This was said by Justice Minister Carlo Nordio, speaking at the opening ceremony of the 2025 judicial year of the Supreme Court. On the referendum, the minister added that “the legislature will proceed without hesitation, in confident but unconditional acquiescence to the popular referendum that will seal this complex process.” On justice reform, “I once again reiterate the absolute postulate of the independence of the prosecutor with respect to the executive power. The role of the judge will come out defended and strengthened, without weakening the prosecution, fully implementing the liberal principle that jurisdiction is implemented through due process, where the parties are on an equal footing in front of the third and impartial judge,” the minister concluded.(ITALPRESS).-Photo: Agenzia Fotogramma-
