Juventus and Roma share the spoils in goalless stalemate

Juventus and Roma played to a 0-0 draw at the Allianz Stadium in their Serie A match, part of the third round of the 2024/2025 season. The result leaves Juventus with 7 points, putting them at the top of the table alongside Inter, Torino, and Udinese, while Roma remains with 2 points. The match saw an early yellow card for Fagioli after a late challenge on Pellegrini, who later had a dangerous shot deflected by Bremer. Juventus had a promising chance in the 16th minute when former player Matias Soulè attempted a left-footed strike, but it went wide.

In a first half marked by high tempo but few clear chances, Juventus nearly took the lead just before halftime when Vlahovic forced a brilliant save from Svilar with a quick left-footed shot. The two sides went into the break without finding the back of the net. The second half saw the introduction of Juventus’ new signings, Conceicao and Koopmeiners, who added fresh energy to the team’s attack. Despite their efforts, Yildiz’s 70th-minute shot was blocked by fellow Turk Celik, keeping the scoreline unchanged.

As the match drew to a close, Roma, led by Thiago Motta, pushed hard for a late winner, pinning Juventus back in their own half. Even the introduction of Nico Gonzalez in the final minutes couldn’t tip the balance, and the match ended in a goalless draw. Both teams had to settle for a point, leaving Juventus in a strong position at the top of the standings, while Roma continues to search for their first win of the season.
