Juventus dominates Verona 3-0 to lead Serie A

Juventus delivered a commanding performance at the Bentegodi Stadium, defeating Verona 3-0 with a standout display by Dusan Vlahovic, who scored twice, and a goal from Savona. The victory propels Juventus to the top of the Serie A standings, the only team with a perfect record after two rounds. With six points, six goals scored, and none conceded, the team is off to a remarkable start under new manager Thiago Motta.

In a game marked by Juventus’s dominance, Verona’s initial aggression was stifled as the Bianconeri took control. Despite a promising early showing from Verona, including some troublesome moments for Juventus defenders Livramento and Mosquera, the hosts failed to convert their chances into goals. Juventus, meanwhile, capitalized on their opportunities with a solid central attack. Locatelli’s recovery and subsequent assist to Vlahovic put Juventus ahead in the 28th minute. Just eleven minutes later, Savona doubled the lead, finishing a cross from Mbangula.

The match was effectively sealed early in the second half when Vlahovic converted a penalty awarded after Mbangula was fouled by Verona’s Tchatchoua. With Verona struggling to mount a comeback, Harroui’s attempts to spark a revival were in vain. Juventus’s defense, led by Di Gregorio, remained untroubled as the match ended with a clear victory for the visitors.
