UDINE (ITALPRESS) – After a disappointing draw against Parma, Juventus got back on track, rediscovering the joy of three points. At the Bluenergy Stadium, Thiago Motta’s boys overcome a stubborn Udinese 2-0, thanks to Okoye’s own goal and Savona’s goal in the first half. Udine saw a more cohesive Juve, protagonist of an unspectacular but extremely concrete performance. The Bianconeri in Turin started strongly from the very first half, managing with a patient giropalla to send Udinese’s high pressing to the ground. Already after five minutes, Thuram came close to taking the lead, inserting himself perfectly in the penalty area, but kicking Savona’s assist high. The Frenchman’s excellent form is, however, well evident and it is the Friulian formation that suffers the consequences. On 19′ again Thuram causes Okoye’s unfortunate own goal: the former Nice man’s shot from the left side of the area, in fact, first hits the inside post, then unluckily caroms off the home goalkeeper’s back, thus ending up in the net. Angrily then, Udinese wasted no time and reacted, almost equalizing two minutes later with Davis: Di Gregorio was providential in deflecting the Englishman’s powerful conclusion into a corner. Thanks, then, Juve, which at 37′ stamped 2-0 with Savona after a persistent action in the opponent’s area. In the second half Runjaic’s boys did not intend to give up, but they came up against a determined and well-positioned Juve. At 53′, the Friulans’ possible 2-1 goal was cancelled out by Abisso, who spotted an irregular push by Davis on Gatti. At 69′, however, Okoye denied the guests’ trio, neutralizing Vlahovic’s deflected attempt. Also taking advantage of a tired Juve, Udinese attacked the opponent’s goal in the final. Luck did not smile, however, on the hosts and, in the 83rd minute, the header of newcomer Lucca was printed on the crossbar. A heavy victory that revives Juve’s ambitions. For Udinese, however, it was the second consecutive knockout after the one that came in the week against Venezia.- photo Ipa Agency -(ITALPRESS).
