TURIN (ITALPRESS) – It ended in a draw, 2-2, the match of the 16th day of Serie A between Juventus and Venezia. The lagunari were one step away from victory but a penalty in the final minutes of the last recovery by Vlahovic allowed the Old Lady to win their fourth draw in a row and the tenth in this championship. After a first phase without too much excitement, it was Juventus who unblocked the challenge with Gatti: the Piedmontese defender, on his first goal of the season, took advantage of a header from Thuram on a corner kick from the left by Koopmeiners and left alone in front of the goal all he had to do was push the ball into the net. On the half-hour mark guests came close to equalizing: from a Pohjanpaolo bank, the ball landed at the feet of Andersen who with a conclusion from the edge chipped the crossbar. Juventus struggling in the second part of the fraction and Venezia that became more confident in the match, presenting itself with regularity in the Bianconeri half of the field. At the start of the second half, after four minutes, Juventus had doubled with a goal almost in photocopy with the one of the first half but Yildiz’s final touch was vitiated by a hand touch that forced referee Giua to cancel. With the hosts failing on a couple of other occasions to find the right finalization it was Venezia who found the equalizer on 16′: from a precise cross from the right by Zampano it was Ellertsson who escaped Savona’s marking and slipped a header in behind Di Gregorio thus sealing his second Serie A goal. Cold shower for the hosts seven minutes from the end when on a free kick by former Nicolussi Cavigilia it was Idzes who jumped higher than anyone and headed it past Di Gregorio but in full recovery, at 50′, it was Vlahovic who found the equalizer on a penalty kick for Candela’s hand foul after an earlier Conceicao conclusion was repelled by Stankovic.- Image Photo -(ITALPRESS).
