FLORENCE (ITALPRESS) – Fiorentina won its sixth consecutive league victory and for a few hours enjoyed the top of the league co-habiting with Atalanta and Napoli. It was not an easy feat for the Gigliati to bring home the three points but it was Moise Kean, who has now reached 12 goals in total this season (one with the national team, which he will join in the evening in Coverciano), who allowed Palladino’s Tuscans to get the better of a stout Verona. The progression of the match saw the hosts immediately try to put the game on the line by taking the lead as early as 4′, when Ranieri in a tackle retrieved the ball outside his own penalty area, served Beltran, who in conduction reached the opponent’s 30 meters and served Kean, who centrally pierced the Verona defense and beat Montipò. Zanetti’s lineup does not break down and at 17′ makes the most of a ball lost by Bove and with Serdar from outside the box fulminates De Gea. Verona’s next strategy is clear: cover every space as much as possible with as many men as possible and try to restart. Fiorentina struggles to build important chances despite having the ball of the game in their hands. It took Kean once again to put his side back ahead just before the hour mark by correcting a corner from the left taken by Adli into the goal. Down by one goal Zanetti decided to inject fresh forces by inserting first Mosquera and Belahyane, then Kastanos and Sarr. It was, however, a Coppola header that startled the entire Franchi on the threshold of the final quarter-hour. Palladino understood the signal and sent two full-backs onto the pitch to act as wings, all moments before Kean gobbled up the third goal. However, the Vercelli striker has a chance to make up for it in the recovery by delivering the final success to Fiorentina and taking home the ball with the signatures of all the players.
