MILAN (ITALPRESS) – With EV2, Kia introduces a segment B electric SUV designed for the European market. Designed, engineered and manufactured in Europe, EV2 is the most compact model in the Brand electric range and aims to expand access to zero-emission mobility in one of the most relevant segments for volumes. EV2 combines small dimensions, versatility of use and a complete technological equipment.
It is available with two battery options, from 42.2 kWh and 61.0 kWh, with an estimated range of up to 453 km in the WLTP cycle. The 400V architecture supports fast charging in continuous current, while the compatibility with alternating current charging up to 22 kW allows flexibility in everyday use.
The cabin integrates the ccNC system with triple screen, over-the-air updates and connected features, including EV Route Planner. The driving assistance includes advanced ADAS systems, such as Highway Driving Assist 2 and Smart Cruise Control 2, along with a new cabin monitoring unit designed to improve safety.
Dynamic development has been calibrated on European roads, with suspensions and steering geared to ensure control and predictability in different conditions, including low-adhesion surfaces. Specific interventions on sound insulation and NVH management contribute to a more comfortable edge environment.
Produced in the Zilina plant, EV2 is part of the Kia European electrification strategy, with the aim of offering an accessible and suitable proposal for daily use.
