NAPOLI (ITALPRESS) – The court of Naples has placed the confiscation of goods for more than 204 million euros attributable to three brothers, entrepreneurs of Acerra, operating in the field of waste disposal and recycling. The measure was carried out by the military of the Economic-Financial Police Nucleus – Gico of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, by decree of the section preventive measures of the same court. The measure represents the epilogue of a judicial iter initiated in 2017, when the patrimony of the three brothers was seized following the definitive condemnation for a continued painful disaster. Asset investigations revealed a marked disproportion between assets accumulated over time and officially declared income.
According to the reconstruction of investigators, a substantial part of the wealth would be generated by the proceeds of illegal waste traffic in the so-called Land of the Fuochi, area already at the center of numerous environmental investigations. The total value of the goods confiscated was quantified in 204.914.706 euros. The measure has covered eight corporate branches with offices between the provinces of Naples, Frosinone and Rome, 224 properties distributed between Naples, Salerno, Caserta, Cosenza, Latina and Frosinone, as well as 75 lands, 70 financial relations, 72 vehicles, three boats and two helicopters. A first confiscation was arranged in 2019 and confirmed by the appeal court in 2023. In April 2024 the Court of Cassation had annulled the provision for formal vices, ordering the return of goods. Subsequently, the Anti-Mafia District Direction of Naples has started a new wealth reconnaissance, extending the investigations also to the family of entrepreneurs and still considering the assumptions of the measure and the elements of qualified danger. In May 2024 the Prevention Measures section of the Naples court arranged a new seizure. By decree deposited on 19 February 2026, at the end of the chamber instructor, the new confiscation was then pronounced.
