Luca Abete’s “No One Stops Us” motivational tour at Unibg

BERGAMO (ITALPRESS) – The tenth stop of Luca Abete’s motivational tour NonCiFermaNessuno in the Italian universities was held at the University of Bergamo, in the Sant’Agostino building, which in Lombardy saw the final act of an exciting journey that started on March 8 from Rome and involved thousands of Italian students. A project conceived and animated by the historic correspondent of Striscia la Notizia who has been carrying out, for 10 years, a valuable work of listening to the reality of young people thanks to a series of talks aimed at stimulating confidence in students, inviting them to believe in their own potential and to react in the face of life’s adversities. Protagonists in the classroom were students from Bergamo University, who also addressed the terrible days of the pandemic. “We live in a historical moment in which too often young people feel squeezed into a dead end. During the talk, their stories pointed to roads, unexplored perspectives and projections of their own existence that they could barely see before. Therein lies the strength of my format. We need to create the conditions for every talent to find inspiration to get going again, every dream to receive its chance to become a reality, despite the climate of distrust that sometimes seems to take over. After all, Bergamo is a city that is a symbol of resilience, which has shown how from difficulties one can be reborn stronger. Their stories have moved people. It is no coincidence that we are closing our 2024 tour right here.” A social campaign that has been rewarded by the institutions, for its high symbolic value, thus receiving in 2018 the Medal of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella. #NonCiFermaNessun boasts the patronage of the Ministry of University and Research, the Conference of Rectors and the collaboration with the National Council of the National Order of Psychologists. The Lombardy stage also saw the presence of Fondazione Cariplo, which sponsored the event. Chancellor Sergio Cavalieri, extremely satisfied with this “first time” at the University of Bergamo, said, “We are pleased to have welcomed and hosted at our University the motivational tour #NonCiFermaNessun, an initiative of social value that focuses on the experiences, dreams and challenges of the younger generations. The tour’s claim, “Let’s learn to love each other,” is a powerful invitation to reflect on the importance of self-awareness and resilience, in academia but especially in everyone’s personal life experience. This event was a moment of inspiration and sharing, in line with UniBg’s mission to be not only a place of education, but also of listening and support for its students.” Slogan that was a great success among students as Abete himself points out, “The embrace of the male and female students at the end of the talk is proof of how much it was appreciated. I asked everyone to abandon their alibis to find themselves closer. To start from ourselves to revolutionize the concept of love even for those around us just as our 2024 claim says: let’s learn to love each other.” “The social campaign #NonCiFermaNessun,” added Prof. Agostino Brugnera, contact person for the University of Bergamo of the inter-university PRO-BEN project “UNIBEN-PI,” “allows our student community to dialogue and confront the theme of resilience, and how, through self-acceptance, it is possible to face difficulties with determination and transform adversity into opportunities. University students, through their commitment and perseverance, demonstrate daily how important these qualities are for the promotion of their own well-being.” The surprise guest on this last leg was Fabio Caressa, historical voice of some of the most iconic sporting moments in Italian soccer, who spared no anecdotes and advice to the students. “Each of us has a talent,” he said, “a kind of superpower. Discover it and above all cultivate it. But it is not enough. Commit to enhancing it. Even Pirlo before he became almost infallible threw balls into the stands, sometimes even into the woods. Preparation, training, will help you limit the possibility of a setback and allow you to be ready when the setback comes.” The theme of equality featured prominently in the story of Linnet student Irene Borsari, to whom went the #NonCiFermaNessun Award made by Polilop’s 2.0 artisans. A path her not without obstacles, both personal and study, from which strongly emerges her desire for a society that does not discriminate against others because of their ethnicity, and which is animating her goal of becoming an international law attorney. Also for her was a course in social media manager with the experts from Mac Formazione, a writing kit offered by Stabilo, and Mediaworld’s exclusive Gold Plus Card. At the center of the project, then, are the issues that the college generation holds most dear. “We dwelt on the value of volunteerism and solidarity, the fight for an eco-sustainable planet, going through many points dear to them. – Abete stressed – The wealth they find within is a source of relief. Ours, after all, is not a format that they undergo, but one that they breathe, create and build as protagonists, becoming Ambassadors of an authentic and unique thought that comes from within and touches the sensitivity of those who listen to it.” Making Italian universities sustainable is one of the main challenges of this edition of the tour. Music represents one of the tour’s hallmarks. The song “Let’s Learn to Love Each Other,” performed by Abete and young singer Leonardo Frezzotti aka “Fritz,” was the soundtrack for this leg as well and has already been going viral on major radio stations and music platforms for months now. The social campaign will continue with Luca Abete’s participation in youth gathering events and will see its final act on January 28, 2025 with the ceremony of delivery of the collected meals to the Food Bank.(ITALPRESS).
