PALERMO (ITALPRESS) – Lutto in the academic world and scientific research for the premature disappearance of Vincenzo Franzitta, ordinary professor of the University of Palermo, who died yesterday at the age of 57. Engineer and professor of Environmental Technical Physics at the Department of Engineering, Professor Franzitta also held the prestigious post of Delegate to the energy policies of the Palermitan University. During his esteemed career he established himself as an international point of reference in the study and development of renewable sources, sustainability and energy efficiency.
His valuable scientific activity focused in particular on the energy transition of the island realities of the Mediterranean, on acoustic physics and technological innovation, in which he was the holder of patents, including innovative systems for the production of energy from the wave motion.
