ROME (ITALPRESS) – Andrea Mandelli has been confirmed president of the Federation of Orders of Italian Pharmacists (Fofi) for the four-year period 2025-2029. The proclamation took place yesterday, at the end of the elections for the renewal of the offices of the Central Committee and the Board of Auditors. Very high participation in the vote, in which 97 provincial orders out of 100 took part, expressing a choice in the sign of continuity. In addition to confirming Andrea Mandelli as president, the new Central Committee confirmed Luigi D’Ambrosio Lettieri as vice president, Maurizio Pace as secretary and Mario Giaccone as treasurer. Completing the composition of the Central Committee are: Luciano Diomedi, Andrea Giacomelli, Giuseppe Guaglianone, Maximin Liebl, Paolo Manfredi, Maurizio Manna, Angela Daniela Musolino, Gianfranco Picciau, Francesco Rastrelli, Federico Realdon and Giovanni Zorgno. “I extend my heartfelt thanks to all my colleagues for the expressions of esteem and affection received. For me, it is an honor and a great pride to continue to represent the 105,000 Italian pharmacists; I will continue to play this role by putting my energy and skills at the service of the entire professional community to continue the extraordinary path of evolution that has seen us as protagonists in recent years, always having firmly in mind the goal of strengthening our role and our skills to bring value to the SSN, for the benefit of citizens,” Mandelli said.The election round also renewed the positions of the Board of Auditors, with the appointments of Anna Olivetti and Roberto Pennacchio as full members, and Sigismondo Rizzo as alternate. “The Federation,” Mandelli added, “will be able to count on a competent and cohesive team to face the future challenges ahead. The further consolidation of the service pharmacy, which enhances the proximity of pharmacists and the fiduciary relationship with the citizen-patient, an invaluable asset of our profession; the promotion of new training models that are increasingly advanced and consistent with the professional needs of pharmacists; the increase in resources and protections for specialty pharmacists; and the full integration of digital technologies in our daily work to offer increasingly cutting-edge services. As a Federation, we will continue to look at innovation and sustainability as two central aspects for the future of the profession and the contribution we can make to the country. We will continue to bring stimulus and be open to discussion with all stakeholders in the health system to build a more efficient and sustainable health care centered on the real needs of patients.
