Maneuver, Giorgetti “Nothing to fear for individuals and businesses”

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – In the next economic maneuver, “we will make significant cuts, we will make sacrifices to ministries and public entities, there will be adjustments on revenues to those who, quote-unquote, deserve it. Individuals and businesses have nothing to fear. It will be a fair maneuver that will silence controversy.” So said Economy and Finance Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, speaking via video link to the event “Growing Italy Together” organized by Fratelli d’Italia in Milan.Speaking about the maneuver “in front of an audience of bankers and financiers, I said that the sacrifices had to be made by them as well, it does not seem like blasphemy to me, I do not see what is wrong with that. I would repeat it,” Giorgetti said again. “The Structural Budget Plan will lead Italy to navigate in safe waters, reinforcing the credibility that in these two years we have tried to build. It is a type of approach that we have called prudent: we announce results and then, on balance, we do much better. That will happen this time as well,” the minister stressed. “We have growth that may not be fantastic, but it is much better than economic giants like Germany, which has been in recession for two years. I think going forward on this path we will be able to ground exactly what we have started to accomplish.”
