Maria Lorena Haz Paz new president of the Cricket Federation

ROME (ITALPRESS) – Maria Lorena Haz Paz is the new president of the Italian Cricket Federation for the four-year Olympic period 2025-2028. With 207 votes, she defeated outgoing president Fabio Marabini, who received 168 votes, in a runoff. The election took place today in Rome, in the Salone d’Onore of Coni, during the National Elective Assembly of the Fcri. Haz Paz, 47, an entrepreneur born in Ecuador and living in Italy for 24 years, has been active in the Italian cricket scene since 2007. Until now vice-president of the Federation, she was also previously president of Roma Cricket. With this election, she becomes the second woman incumbent to hold the presidency of a national sports federation. “I am deeply proud of this result, which represents the crowning achievement of years of commitment and work,” her first words as federal number 1.
