ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A supply of pediatric drugs for the treatment of childhood ophthalmological diseases was donated by Mariastella Giorlandino on the occasion of the humanitarian mission currently underway in Kenya, promoted by Ripartiamo APS. A statement issued by Fondazione Artemisia ETS makes it known, specifying that this is a concrete intervention aimed at ensuring essential care for children in contexts characterized by a lack of access to health services.
The initiative is part of the broader commitment of the president of the Artemisia ETS Foundation and administrator of the Artemisia Lab Clinical Centres network, for years active in the promotion of prevention, health care and protection of the most fragile bands. The Foundation, recognized by the Lazio Region, operates through free health and welfare services, medical-scientific training activities and health education programs aimed at the whole community, with particular attention to women, children and the elderly.
Entrepreneur, university professor and reference figure in the field of private health, Mariastella Giorlandino has built over time a model that combines clinical excellence and social responsibility. Under his leadership, Artemisia Lab has developed into a network of high-specialized structures spread over the territory, while the Artemisia Foundation has become an active leader in the promotion of the culture of prevention and in the realization of solidarity projects, also in collaboration with institutions and realities of the third sector.
“The donation destined to Kenya strengthens this path, bringing the contribution of Italian health even beyond national borders – explains Mariastella Giorlandino – Guaranteeing care to children means investing in the future of communities. I would like to express my sincere thanks to APS for the constant commitment and extremely fruitful collaboration that made this intervention possible. Their work on the field is a concrete example of operational solidarity and attention to those who live in conditions of particular vulnerability.”.
This is also one of the principles, the note, which inspires the action of the Foundation, always committed to making accessible quality health services without distinction of social, economic or cultural conditions. In this context, the collaboration with Repartiamo APS, a reality committed to the development of international cooperation and volunteering projects, with particular attention to education, health and social inclusion in developing countries. A synergy that confirms the importance of combining skills, resources and visions to generate a real impact in the most fragile communities.
