ABU DHABI (ARABI ERIATES) (ITALPRESS) – A new phase of strengthening bilateral relations between Italy and the United Arab Emirates opens. In Abu Dhabi, during the official meeting at the Presidential Palace, the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, underlined the value of the visit, saying that “it takes a historical value, being the first visit of an Italian Head of State”, in response to the words of welcome of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
“I am delighted to return the visit he made a year ago in Rome. A very important visit to Italy and which has left great concrete signs in our collaboration,” said the head of the state. At the heart of the talks between the two Heads of State there was cooperation in the strategic sectors of investment, economy, advanced technology and artificial intelligence, considered key areas for strengthening partnership between the two countries. In his welcome speech, President Al Nahyan recalled that “the relations between the Arab world and Italy, launched in 1971, have experienced significant development in recent years, confirming the depth of historical links that unite our countries”. He also reiterated the common commitment to open up new perspectives of cooperation based on mutual respect, shared trust and shared interests.
Both presidents reaffirmed the desire to promote sustainable development and future prosperity for the benefit of the two countries and their peoples, also recalling the importance of the official visit made last year in Rome, which contributed concretely to the consolidation of bilateral collaboration.
