Mattarella “Transport and logistics essential pillars of the economic system”

ROMA (ITALPRESS) – “The 80th anniversary of the constitution of the Italian Confederation of Transports and Logistics represents a significant milestone for a sector that is among the protagonists of the economic growth of the Republic. The strong interdependence of the markets makes transport and logistics essential pillars of the economic system and international well-being”. Thus the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in a message sent to the President of Confetra Carlo De Ruvo. “Businesses that strive to value their products find in the opening of markets the scope in which to develop their activities and, in them, the management of logistics plays a fundamental role. The backbone represented by the transport and logistics system is a valuable asset for the life of our community,” he added.

“We witnessed it during the health emergency from Covid-19, when it was able to guarantee supplies and trade in the national territory. Confetra has promoted, in all these decades, an effective process of modernization of the system of transport of goods, with a high ability to adapt to the sudden and fast changes of global trade, with attention to the standards of environmental protection. In addressing the most cordial greeting to all the participants in this celebration, I send to all the participating enterprises and to the workers who work in them, the most felt appreciation for the activity carried out”, the head of the State concludes.
