ROME (ITALPRESS) – ICE’s Board of Directors composed of Barbara Cimmino, Giuseppe Ferro, Riccardo Garosci, and Annalisa Sassi today confirmed Matteo Zoppas as President of the Agency for the Promotion Abroad and the Internationalization of Enterprises.Born in 1974 in Pordenone, Matteo Zoppas graduated in Business Administration from Luigi Bocconi University in Milan, and later earned two Master’s degrees at CUOA, in Lean Manufacturing and in Business Administration. An analyst at Mediobanca’s Equity Office from 2002 to 2003, he was a member of the Board of Directors of Operation Smile Italia and a member of the Central Council of national Confindustria. He is a Board Member of Acqua Minerale San Benedetto SpA for which he was responsible for product internationalization. Elected President of Confindustria Venezia in 2013, from May 2015 he was President of Confindustria Venezia Metropolitan Area of Venice and Rovigo and then, from 2017 to 2019, President of Confindustria Veneto. Since February 2023, he has been President of Agenzia ICE. “I am deeply grateful to the Board of Directors for the renewed trust and to the entire ICE structure for the commitment and cooperation shown so far,” says ICE President Matteo Zoppas. “I thank the outgoing board of directors for the work they have done, certain that the skills of the new members will also be fundamental to achieve even more ambitious results and bring the Agency even closer to the priorities of Italian companies. Teaming up with Sistema Paese will be essential to transform uncertainties into opportunities and consolidate the role of Made in Italy as a global symbol of quality, innovation and tradition. “The ICE Agency operates with 87 permanent Structures in 74 countries (69 offices and 18 Correspondence Points), in order to develop the internationalization of Italian companies, as well as the marketing of Italian goods and services in international markets and to promote the image of Italian products in the world. According to the indications of the Government and, in particular, of the Cabina di Regia in which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy sit, the ICE Agency coordinates all the internationalization strategies and tools of the country system, in order to effectively support the export and growth abroad of Italian companies as well as the attraction of foreign direct investment in Italy, sectors of fundamental importance for the recovery of growth and the domestic employment market.
