RIMINI (ITALPRESS) – Ugo Claudio Matteoli has been re-elected president of the Italian Sport Fishing Federation for Underwater Activities and Finswimming for the four-year period 2025-2028. This was the outcome of the Fipsas national elective assembly held at the Rimini Fair. Matteoli, in his seventh term, totaled 1634 votes out of 1970 votes cast by delegates (82.94 percent). There were 336 blank ballots recorded. Voting took place after the president’s report and that of the chairman of the auditors. “It is a beautiful result,” Matteoli’s comment, “To take 82.44 percent after six terms is something extremely positive, it means that the vast majority still has confidence in me. We will have to do a lot of things, because quickly the Italian sport is changing, between new laws and new limits, in the near future we should rearrange the structure of the Federation, change some things and catch up with the times. We will have to open up more to the territory and possibly enlarge our membership. As for the competitive part, I don’t think we will have so many problems, because in these years we have really won a lot and I am convinced that we will continue to do so,” the conclusion of the confirmed Fipsas president.- photo Fipsas press office -(ITALPRESS).
