TURIN (ITALPRESS) – Opel’s Marketing Management in Italy is renewed with the appointment of a new Director, Maurizio Andrea Bormetti, effective Nov. 1, 2024, replacing Eva Laureti who left the company, after five years of fundamental contribution, to pursue new professional developments. Born in Sondrio, 35, Bormetti trained at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan with a degree in Economics and Business Management. Professionally, Bormetti held positions of increasing responsibility in the Sales and Marketing areas of Citroèn and Peugeot, and before that other multinationals in different sectors, before joining Opel Italy. In his new role, Maurizio Andrea Bormetti, will report to Federico Scopelliti, managing director of Opel in Italy. As a first challenge, he will have to deal with major product launches, with the renewal of the entire Opel SUV range: from the recently announced update of Opel Mokka, to the new Opel Frontera, to the second generation Opel Grandland. The goal is to increase image and market share for Opel in Italy and strengthen the German brand’s role within the group.Bormetti’s further mission will be to consolidate Opel’s journey into the future of mobility, which already sees, today, the lightning brand offering a range of cars and commercial vehicles fully offered with electric powertrains and zero-emission range of up to 700 km, alongside thermal and hybrid alternatives, with solutions to suit all needs.
