ROMA (ITALPRESS) – A massive control device, coordinated by the Carabinieri Group in Ostia, has involved in the last 24 hours the Roman coast and the entire northern area of the Capitoline province. The operation, conducted in line with the strategies of Prefect Lamberto Giannini, has seen the use of more than 100 military, supported by cynofile units, R.A.C helicopters. of Sea and N.E.C. Practice of Rome-Urbe, as well as the specialized staff of the NAS and the Aliquote of Intervention (API). The capillary sifting of sensitive areas – including the famous squares of Ostia as Piazza Gasparri and Via Fasan – led to significant results:
Seventeen people finished in handcuffs, aggravated theft and execution of order of custody. 42 persons reported on a free foot for offences ranging from receptacles to the abusive port of arms, to theft of electricity. Altogether 860 grams of narcotic substances (hashish, marijuana, cocaine and crack). 60 people were reported to the Prefecture as a hireler.
Identify over 900 people and verify 500 vehicles. High penalties for more than 60,000 euros; 22 drivers were sanctioned for driving in an altered state resulting in the withdrawal of the license.
At the same time, the Carabinieri of the Airport Company presided over the international airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino.
