STOCKHOLM (SWEDEN) (ITALPRESS) – The Swedish Public Prosecutor’s Office confirmed this morning that an investigation for “rape” is underway into events that occurred in downtown Stockholm after Kylian Mbappè and his entourage visited a nightclub, without specifying against whom the charges are directed. In the statement, the prosecutor’s office specifies that the filing of the complaint concerns events that took place last Oct. 10, the day of Israel-France, a Nations League match missed by Mbappè due to injury. More details emanate from Swedish newspapers. “Aftonbladet,” which yesterday Monday had revealed the opening of an investigation without linking it to the Real Madrid star, published in the morning an article claiming that the France captain was the alleged perpetrator of the crime, which allegedly took place Thursday in a hotel in the center of the Swedish capital. Last night, the “Expressen” newspaper was the first to explicitly mention Mbappé as the subject of a rape investigation, pointing out that he fell under the status of “reasonable suspect,” the lowest level of accusation in Scandinavian justice. Then this morning, “Expressen” published a new article, this time revealing that Swedish police seized black underpants, a top and briefs as part of its investigation.
